Golden Ears Jazz Band

The Golden Ears Jazz Band is a contemporary jazz ensemble consisting of 16 adult performers based around the Maple Ridge community. The band performs 60's and 70's, jazz style contemporary, big brass sound, with some rhythm-blues, funk, swing, and a touch of classic rock.

The Golden Ears Jazz Band was founded in September 2004 by Maple Ridge community members who were eager to discover jazz music.

All members live in or near the Maple Ridge area and encompass diverse levels of musical ability. The band meets weekly to practice and expand their jazz techniques into a variety of music styles.

The Golden Ears Jazz Band is run by a small committee of playing members. The band began as a small group dedicated to providing an environment where musicians of all levels could gather to enjoy playing music, improve their musical skills and to promote music involvement within the Maple Ridge community. Golden Ears Jazz Band has now expanded and grown to the level of amateur performers, and travels throughout the Lower Mainland to share their enjoyment of jazz music.
